As a co-founder of the organization, Turcois is dedicated to fostering economic development, equitable educational alternatives, agricultural independence, and community preservation within these communities.

As a legislative fellow at the NAACP Washington DC, they conducted research and supported solutions on critical issues such as voting rights, criminal justice, education, and the student loans crisis. At FreedomOrg, Turcois successfully secured several funding opportunities, partnerships, and contracts, significantly increasing impact and reach.

Turcois's commitment lies in driving operational excellence and ensuring the organization’s success. They believe in practical solutions that yield tangible results. Through inclusive leadership, Turcois empowers staff to grow and thrive, leveraging expertise and networks to create positive and lasting change for the communities served.

“In order to advance the community forward we must understand the past. While also learning the strategies of advocacy groups whose shoulders we stand on. Without this knowledge our efforts with be hollowed.”
